Yesterday meets today in this Crocus Hill kitchen remodel
Homes that are over 100 years old present some unique remodeling challenges. This space was a 1980s addition to an 1880s Victorian in St. Paul, MN. The windows and archways were already part of the space. The melamine cabinets were worn and needed to be replaced. And the homeowner wanted an island with an eating area, farm sink, and a more functional layout. Ben’s design features transitional white cabinetry with contemporary open shelving. Dark granite counter tops and hardware provide contrast to sea-foam walls and oak flooring. A perfect marriage of Victorian and contemporary design elements.
