Carrie Harrington

Lead Designer

“Good design evokes a feeling—and everyone deserves to feel good in their home.”

Carrie’s journey into interior design started with a sewing machine and a keen eye for detail. She began as a seamstress and upholsterer at a custom shop in Excelsior, Minnesota, where she was introduced to the world of design. That experience launched a career that included working at several design firms before she stepped out on her own. Over time, increasing requests for kitchen and bath help led her to pursue a kitchen and bath design certificate, expanding her expertise in those areas.

After years of running her own business, Carrie is excited to join the Ben Quie & Sons team—trading the solo hustle for the collaboration and camaraderie of a like-minded crew. She’s especially passionate about old homes and the challenge of making them more functional for today’s families while preserving their historic character.

Favorite Tool:
A sense of humor—it may not cut wood, but it cuts tension. Laughter goes a long way in keeping things light when remodeling gets stressful.
