Luxury Bathroom Creates An Elegant Escape

Although spacious, this master bathroom in Edina MN was dark and dated. The fresh luxury bathroom design by Paul Knutson, features a sparkling chandelier, abundant lighting and storage, and an open floor plan. There’s a tile niche above the soaking tub for art or flowers. And a silver-leaf tray ceiling. It’s the perfect space to prepare for a busy day, or unwind in the evening.

Storage was a priority. This twelve-drawer lacquered vanity keeps everything organized and eliminates clutter. The black granite countertop adds a touch of drama to the room. Winner of awards from the National Kitchen and Bath Association, NARI Minnesota, and Qualified Remodeler, this luxury bathroom remodeling project was featured on Houzz.com.

Before & After

Move the slider to see the transformation.

Eliminating the wall between the tub and shower opens up the floor plan for a more spa-like experience. Light-colored materials feel fresh and relaxing. The Calacatta marble floor tile was laid in a classic herringbone pattern.

More storage! Additional cabinetry in the toilet area also helps define the space. The open shelves are perfect for decorative accents. A frosted glass door separates the bathroom and the bedroom.
